June 15, 2025 @ 8:00 am – June 19, 2025 @ 5:00 pm
Dear Thermoelectric Researchers Worldwide,
The Registration and Abstracts submission are open for ICT/ACT2025 (The 41st International Conference on Thermoelectrics and 7th Asian Conference on Thermoelectrics) which will be held in the vibrant and beautiful city of Sendai, Japan from June 15 (Sun) -19 (Thu), 2025. Website https://ict2025.jp
The field of thermoelectrics is now at an exciting time in history, with new high performance materials, novel enhancement principles being discovered, applicative technology and innovative module & systems development, and the long held dream of wide-spread power generation applications appearing to be closer to realization then it has ever been before. With the urgent necessity of energy saving to approach the carbon neutral/zero emission goals for the environment, and also energy harvesting to dynamically power the trillion sensors for the IoT society, for example, thermoelectric technology is expected to play a large and critical role. Thermoelectric cooling is also expected to dramatically expand.
As noted in the Schedule and Program updates on the HP, ITS Summer School and Round Table on the Future of TE Applications will be held on the 1st day. Followed by 4 days of intensive oral & poster presentations and discussions.
Japan has held the conference before in Yokohama in 1993, Nagoya in 1998, and Kobe in 2013, and has had a long history of active research and development on thermoelectrics. By hosting ICT in Japan for the first time in 12 years, it will be a good chance to transmit the academic and industrial level of Japan to thermoelectric conversion technology experts around the world and to make a significant contribution to the development of this field.
It is also in a touristic & financial aspect a wonderful time to visit Japan.
Hopefully all participants can enjoy a memorable trip and make new history on thermoelectrics at this conference.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
Chairs Takao Mori & Yuzuru Miyazaki and whole Organizing Committee.
