KERI Thermoelectric Team in Korea(south) is searching for highly-motivated postdoc researchers for thermoelectrics, from fundamental sciences to application engineering
Field (short): Thermoelectric theory (efficiency, DFT), materials design & synthesis, module fabrication, performance evaluation and standardization
Candidate: highly motivated people who have received their Ph.D. within the last five years, from materials science, physics, mechanical engineering, or mathematics
Where: Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI), Changwon-si, South Korea
Period: 1+X years.
The position can involve in a theoretical or experimental side. The topic can be discussed with us before application.
Possible topics will be, but not limited to,
- efficiency-based design: efficiency theory, high-performance module design and performance analysis
- computational materials science and machine learning for alloys and interface design: using DFT or machine learning potential calculations
- thermoelectric materials synthesis (we have SPS, HP, PAS, BM)
- module fabrication and characterization (performance evaluation) for high-performance or for standardization
Salary: ~ KRW 50,000,000 to 60,000,000 (including tax, insurance, bonus) per year (approx. $37K-45K). Net salary will be around KRW 3,500,000 (KRW: Korean Won)
